Technology Reigns Supreme – Our campus is very up to date in technology. As long as you are a student you can access the wireless internet while on campus. All of the computer labs are excellent. And the printing has the latest technology. In fact, even though I have a personal computer and printer I prefer going on campus. The labs are comfortable and quiet and offers a relaxing atmosphere that I can't receive at home.

Small Town Safety – Chico state is a small campus in a small town so there's never a great sense of danger. However, we are policed well. There is a police station on campus, that constantly patrol it. Safety wise, the buildings are old, however they are currently being rennovated. The buildings are all also handicapped accessible.

History a Small but Unique Program – When touting the virtues or specialites of Chico State, history definitely does not come to mind. However, in my 4 years of being a history major I have to say this is a greatly run program. The professor are not only knowledgeable about their concentrations they are passionate about it. And that makes learning history so much easier to learn because that passion is conveyed to us. We have a great department chair is office is always open to students. Also, we have to meet with our history advisors at least twice a semester to see how we are doing and to make sure we are on track. There is also a great history club and organization. The purpose of the club and organization is to encourage our interest in history and to also see what is out there in terms of career besides teaching. And although there is only one museum in Chico, there are still a plethora of intership opportunities that take you outside of Chico. All in all, I greatly enjoy my time in this department.
