My school has a lot of variety in Economics. There are different emphases for specific interests in the vast field of Economics. There are many advisors, resources, and internships. The workload can be heavy but manageable. The mathematicians can be weird but it is Econ.

It Exists and Is Getting More Popular
If you're interested, it's there. If not, they can easily be ignored. Their parties are cool and so are the people. They're not too over the top.
