Accessible and Friendly
The professors I have met have been great people and wonderful instructors. Most of them just want to share their knowledge but are still interested in learning from you. They certainly make you work hard, but it is rewarding and helps you learn constantly. I really enjoy the small classes and friendly atmosphere.

Plentiful and Inviting
The facilities at Carleton are fantastic. I love everything that our multiple gyms have to offer. The student center (Sayles) is very inviting and pleasant to spend time in. Our new Weitz Center for Creativity is a great place to do work or see a show. The library is a great place to study and meet up with friends.

Common but Not Expected
There is fairly low level of peer pressure to drink or do drugs. Part of this is because of the existence of substance free floors in almost every dorm. Most people are responsible and security does a great job of looking after people. There are rarely serious problems.
