A car is most definitely not needed at all. Everything is in walking distance and public transportation is great. If you do bring a car (or if parents are coming), watch out because the police do like to enforce parking rules and give out tickets.

Most Ideal Situation – Yale does a great job of taking the student's health and safety at priority. A student is never punished for getting help for a drug/alcohol problem or incident. The most that will happen is the student will have a short conversation with his/her residential college dean about the incident. Parents are not involved.

Not Much to Complain About – The housing system is superior to those of many other colleges. All dorms have common rooms and plenty of space.
