Parking at Goucher College

A-

Small Campus, All Parking Places Are Close

Freshmen are allowed cars. All students with cars need to pay $50 for the year. The campus is pretty small (you can walk across its entire length in 10 min) so there are no especially far away parking spots. As a freshman, you'll be required to park in the North lot, but that's really only 2-5 minutes walking leisurely from the other parking lots (next to the academic quad rather than the res quad). That being said, while you can't really park too far from campus, Goucher could benefit from taking the plentiful amount of spots for visitors in Dorsey and the SRC and allowing students to park in them. However, I've never met anyone who couldn't find a spot to park in.

Inside Scoop at Goucher College

A+

So Many Things!

1) the clubs! We have a huge variety, from TARDIS: a Doctor Who Club to Pokemon League to rock climbing club to Open Circle Theatre and so on. And if we don't have a club you're interested in, you can feel free to make it! It's so easy, and then you can get funds to do activities.

2) Soon we will have our very own TARDIS. (well in physical form...we're still working on the science bits...)

3) We're on a busy road that leads to so many things to do (including like 7 different sushi places) within walking distance and are right next to Baltimore which has even more to do! And even though we have a big town and city next to us, you can't hear a sound of the road inside the Goucher bubble, there are tons of woods around, and a wonderful environment. Basically: small school, big resources.

4) The study abroad program: Goucher requires students to study abroad and actually GIVES them $1200 to do so. I went on one of the 3-week intensive courses to China and it was amazing. The professors really put things together and took us to more than 7 cities including one on the border of Tibet.
