Honor Codes and Campus Enforcement
One of the most defining things about Bryn Mawr's campus "strictness" is the honor code. This is most evident in the way that people feel comfortable leaving laptops in the library or keeping their doors unlocked. There isn't an extensive list of school policies or a hyped-up security force patrolling parties. It all comes down to mutual respect, among students and with the staff and public safety officials. They're there to protect you, to help you - not to turn you in for underage drinking.

Blue Bus
The blue bus is the between-campus transportation with Haverford College. It makes it very easy to take classes at both schools. There is only one pick-up/drop-off location at Bryn Mawr. The schedule is generally fine for coordinating classes, but limited for social events in the evenings.

Traditions
The most unique thing about Bryn Mawr is the history of traditions. From Lantern Night to Hell Week, new students are the focus of a whole lot of lovin' from their upperclassmen! Most students end up really enjoying the experience, but like everything else at BMC, traditions are optional. There are plenty of other reasons - great professors, small class sizes, beautiful campus - to choose Bryn Mawr.

Get Out of the Bubble!
There is definitely plenty to do, with the full force of Philadelphia only a short train ride away. That being said, some people stay within the small main-line towns surrounding the school. It's cute, friendly, very walkable, and it has all of the necessities - great pizza places, fun thrift shops, and bigger name stores.

College Food
Unfortunately, the campus has reduced the options to only two dining halls. They're never open past 8pm, but there's a small cash eatery in the campus center or the Lusty Cup cafe in the library for late-night study fixes. Overall the food is decent, healthy and accomodating, with more vegan options than any other school I've been to. You don't have to worry about choosing a meal plan freshman year; everyone starts on unlimited. (They all cost the same, but other plans give you different options in terms of guest passes, etc.)
