Who You Know

The drug problem at Loyola is well hidden. The students know who smokes what, who has what on them, and who to buy from. On the other hand there is no pressure to drink or do drugs, it’s more of a casual offering. Also most students are not high on a regular basis, some smoke monthly, weekly, daily, others never (I myself do not smoke anything at all). The drugs are usually not visible, neither is the alcohol. Bottles are stashed in underwear or sock drawers, or under a pile of laundry, always out of the eyes sight of staff. Some dorm rooms have open bottles in plain sight, but very rarely. Loyola is not a party school so therefore all drinking that goes on is done in small groups where people try to look out for each other, and occasionally take random people who lack judgment to the hospital. However the majority of students come to class sober.

Finaid

I had to very my citizenship multiple times, emailin pictures of my pasport atleast 10 times. It was a hassle but i did get some money. In the end I took one of the offers given to me, but not the 2nd one due to very high interest rates. Overall its best to strat the process early.
