Dorms: Keeping Tradition in the New Age
The dorms on Spelman's campus capture the essence of our history and tradition. There is an effort to maintain all original aspects of the facilities and yet there is a need for renovations to ensure current students the best academic and social environment.

Rigorous Academics
Spelman College has done it's best to guarantee students a great education. Every major has an advisor of whom students can refer to for their individual academic planning. There are also opportunities for students to meet with various representatives in order to better prepare for graduate school applications.

Be Persistent
Being a private institution donations are a critical part of the financial well being of the school. For those who are independent students who aren't able to get a private loan it is fight to get financial aid with scholarships being highly competitive and not having many other options. It is vital to be persistent, creative and to utilize all your sources when searching for aid.
