Why South Orange Is Such a Wonderful Place to Live
South Orange is a small community with lots to offer. With the downtown in close proximity to Seton Hall University, there are ample opportunities to take part in what the town has to offer. There are a wide variety of restuarants and small businesses and shops that can be enjoyed by all. A great feature about the town is its train station to the city which only takes about thirty minutes and is cost effective for students and the SOPAC, South Orange Perfoming Arts Center, which always boasts of fabulous performances and shows. The area has a quaint village feel and there are always events and musical performances happening around town. It is a safe community where everyone looks out for one another. This definitely is my favorite place to live.

Nightlife at Seton Hall
The nightlife at Seton Hall can go both ways. If you're into going to frat houses then you can give the nightlife an A+ rating. If you're under 21 the bars in the area, New York City, and Hoboken are a little out of reach. Since many people go home on the weekends, you always see the same people at parties. That's not a bad thing but more variety would be nice.

Financial Aid at Seton Hall
The financial aid office at Seton Hall is not great at all. I knew I lost my scholarship because of my grades but never heard anything from the office about it. I got so worked up about it that I mean with the Dean of my school to talk about it to see what I could do even though I had not received any notice about how to appeal the decision to revoke my scholarship. After spending a whole summer day in and out of offices and visiting the financial aid department, they realized that they had never sent me the forms and preceeded to do so a few days later. Very unhelpful.
