Is the Roadmap to Success pre-orientation program for people who are somewhat socially inept? I don't know; it seemed like they were slightly hinting at it when they said, "helping first year students transition into the academic and social life of Richmond with greater success"? Or is it something that any high school student might sign up for? Thoughts?

Most people are weird but some are cool. I didn't do it and I managed to make friends right away.

It just gives an early opportunity to get on campus and meet people.

Do most people consider University of Richmond to be academically comparable to William & Mary and UVA? They all seem similarly competitive/selective but I feel like UR isn't as well-known/ not quite as reputable.

I definitely feel the same way and was wondering that myself I believe it has a harder time becoming as reputable due to its smaller size. Anyone else think similarly?

I applied to both UR and W&M. I was originally only going to apply to UR but noticed that many peopled considered W&M and UVa on the same level, but UR below them both. However it was listed the number one upcoming liberal arts college.

well when you talk academically it depends what subject field you are talking about. all three have very respectable business schools and actually richmond's b-school is ranked higher than W&M's at #15 in the nation. also richmond is home of the first ever and extremely well known jepson school of leadership. but rankings dont mean anything. honestly go with what you feel more comfortable with.

Thanks for your input! I've actually already applied and was accepted ED to UR! I love the school but I was just curious to know how others viewed it in comparison to UVA and W&M. In fact, I AM going into business, with a possible international focus.
