What are the parties like?

are there a lot of big parties or are they just all small get togethers? Are they more in apartments or dorms or off campus somewhere? If you join the greek life are you more likely to drink and party more?

I avoidparties but I know there are many each friday night even in the dry dorms. Most of the parties are at the phrats but you can find one in any building when you take the time to look.

There are a lot of big parties off campus. They occur mostly in dorms or houses.

Iowa State University Campus Housing had a new discussion posted by medy

Which dorm is the best willow larch or the wilson?

I am a freshman from outer state. I want to meet a lot of friends and be social. I love to run and exercise. My major Is kinesiology to become a trainer.

Any of the dorms in MWL (Maple, Willow, Larch) and very social. They are all primarily freshman. The food court in the basement makes it really convenient during the winter and rainy days and the food is great here.

Enjoy your time at Iowa State it is a great place!

thank you i will! do you recommend wilson or wallace, the tours, at all?

Kinesiology is a really popular major at Iowa State - especially for athletic people like yourself! Also, Iowa State has a lot of out of state students. A ton of my friends I met my first year were from out of state.

I haven't lived in any of these housing dorms, but my friends say Wilson is better but far from central campus.

Not sure about the dorms because I have lived off campus the whole time so they're all kinda the same to me. There are lots of clubs to join especially for sports and the gyms are really great they just renovated the state gym.

I lived in Larch for 2 years, so I am partial. That place is awesome. Great people, great CAs, and great time!
