Freshman Dorms
The only dorms on this campus are for freshman students. The majority of the ones on campus are fairly average (meaning small) however the dining options are much better. There are dorms off campus (there's a bus route that comes every five minutes or so for shuttling to main campus, which takes five-fifteen minutes depending which stop you disembark at) which are less attractive outwardly in appearance but are far more spacious and include air conditioning...however the dining options are less appetizing.
Generally, the dorms are fairly average. The food however is pretty good, albeit this being a large university. Everything is pretty convenient and easy (dorms and dining halls; housing application) however they are definitely on the pricey side.

An Outside Opinion on Greek Life
Not being in a sorority myself, I can say that girls in sororities don't generally have the best reputation from others not participating in greek life. Many sorority girls are lumped into the same category of being thin, blond, and not having academics as their primary concern. Having some friends in sororities, I can say that this is not always true but I can also say that stereotypes all come from somewhere, and that this one is not particularly off-base. If you really want to be taken seriously as an individual, I wouldn't particularly recommend becoming part of a sorority, at least not at this school. If you're a boy and you want to do a lot of partying, I would definitely recommend pledging. If you're a girl and you want to party a lot, being in a sorority doesn't make much of a difference. If you're a girl, you can generally get into parties without a problem.
However, living in a sorority (or fraternity) house does offer convenient housing to campus (most of the time).
