BYU? Diversity? Funny Joke.

BYU is possibly the most white bread school in the country. Possibly. There really aren't many different ethnic groups here. We do not have many black people here and there are more asians but white is definitely the majority. Which is kind of odd considering that BYU does have a lot of foreign students. It probably has more foreign students than most colleges but not as much diversity. If that makes sense. We all believe basically the same thing in regards to religion (it is an LDS college) and political beliefs. I think it is rather unfortunate that we don't have many ethnicities here because I think we would be extremely accepting of them. Bummer.

We Walk or Have Cars

It's easy to walk to school and to a few grocery schools from off campus housing. But if you want to go to the movies, to the mall, or for some good shopping you'll need a car. We have bus options and it's not super expensive but taking the bus isn't really something I think about as an option. Not that I wouldn't, it just doesn't come to mind. Overall, I guess it's good.

Half and Half

BYU is a really fun school but it isn't a walk in the park. It has a great environment that can make you feel like a 5 year old with the responsibilities of a 40 year old. You have to spend a lot of time studying, but the students still do fun activities. We know how to work, and we know how to play. Let's call it good.
