Are academics very hard at Stanford? I hear many classes are taught at graduate level.

The level of academics and education at Pomona (and indeed all 5C's) is incredible. You need to have a solid background if you want to survive the rigor of classes here since most materials taught are already at graduate college level.

How would you define "solid background"? Is Pomona a good school for people who are very interested and willing to work hard in academics, but not naturally smart?

This is what I mean: When you study, do you study in order to get a good grade OR for sake of learning the subject?

If you study to learn the subject and you have an average amount of intelligence, you definitly belong to Pomona.

Those who learned the subject during their high school yeras will have a solid background to build upon at Pomona. Those who study just tp get a good grade, they will have to relearn everything from scratch and that makes it increadibly difficult.

Are there any hard drugs (Ecstasy, LSD, etc) available on campus as well?

Yes, if you are willing to pay the price for it.

this is stupid.

You mean there are drug dealers on campus?

This is really scary to say the least. I wonder why the administration is not doing anything to prevent this kind of activities that endngers the life of students.
