Beauty of FSC
Although Florida Southern College resides in a small Florida town, the beauty of the campus is almost enough to compensate for the relative lack of scenery among the town. A lot of work goes in to maintaining the numerous gardens as well as the delicately tree-lined walkways. Our Esplanades offer a sense of uniqueness that many campuses cannot compete with. Thanks to the well known architect, Frank Lloyd Wright, we are fortunate to have these Esplanades along with the Annie Pfeiffer Chapel which is ornately decorated with stained glass tiles. Our campus also has a large water-dome in front of the library. Other facilities include a gym with various cardio and weight training machines as well as two basketball courts. An art gallery, Starbucks cafe, intramural fields, and student lounges are also available all over campus.

Dine on a Dime
We have many local restaurants around FSC. Many include southern chains such as Steak & Shake and Checkers along with broader chains such as Applebee's and Ruby Tuesday's. And, if you get sick of local food, there are many delicious places to eat in Tampa or Orlando, not more than an hour away. There are five places to eat on campus: a buffet style dining hall; "Grill Master" who operates week days until 2 serving burgers and other grilled foods; "Tutu's Cafe" which is attached to the library and offers various Starbucks beverages as well as cafe style food, open until 4am on school nights; the Undercaf which includes fried food, sandwiches, etc; and finally there is the Moc Mart which is a grocery style shop.

Sunshine State
The weather is absolutely fantastic. Even when/if it rains it only lasts at the most an hour or two then clears up. The winters are comfortable but early and late in the school year mosquitos and humidity somewhat put a damper on the gloriousness of the early new year.
