There are plenty of places to eat within walking distance (though those are mainly fast food). There are several shopping centers around the area (all are driving distance). Everything is average priced, not super expensive but it isn't cheap either.

The weather here is pretty constant. Average 70s pretty much year-round. A few showers in the winter (occasional storms). Some dry spells here and there. No snow.
