Open Curriculum
Everybody majors in liberal arts. There are no specific majors beyond that. So you are able to take whatever classes you want because you don't have any curriculum to fulfill.
There are, however, certain areas that you need to take classes in (Arts, Social Sciences, Humanities, Natural Science) but as long as you take a class in each one of those (As you'd probably want to do anyway.) you're golden.

It Exists, but Is Expensive.
You can find housing off campus, and student affairs helps you with the off campus housing guide. But its often more expensive than its worth, and parking is always an issue in New York.
No matter how much you love your car, expect it to get beat up.

School's Great.
The school's got a great alcohol and other drugs policy. Fair with just the right amount of harshness.
The only problem is too many offenders go unpunished because security is trying to be nice. Which is good if you're an offender, but bad if you are the one who was offended and called security.
