There are some exceptions for mothers, students that live with their parents, or non-traditional students, but all full time undergrads are required to live on campus. It can be a pro or con depending on the student's needs.

There is a sense of diversity on campus, but people always end up in cliques. You can kind of float between them, but you usually see the same people hanging out together.

Varied
Hollins is pretty competitive athletically. A lot of women come to Hollins for the riding program, although it ends up being more trouble than anything with all the drama that goes on within the team.
