Athletics at Scripps College

B-

Small School, Combined Athletics

Since I go to the all girls school, and the schools in our 5 college consortium are small the schools Harvey Mud, Scripps (my school) and Claremont Mckenna combine to make a sports team. We can use eachothers facilities, play on the same teams, interact with those from the different schools, and work together. It's nice because it is a chance to meet people from other schools that you might not meet other wise and it brings a sense of unity to the schools. Since athletis are not a main part of the schools the fan base is not broad but the students do support eachother. However, there could be more school spirit. Athletics is important to those incolved in them but not very much so to students that are not. There is something for everyone though. There are many intermurals and varsity sports and the range is wide which is nice.

Greek Life at Scripps College

D

Hardly Greek Life, Schoosl Are Like Frats and Sororities Themselves

There is no official Greek life at Scripps or the other Claremont Colleges. Since the schools are so small they are like frats and sororities themselves. The schools have stereotypes themselves. As for social atmoshpere, we have great social atmoshpere because the schools are so intertwined and the parties that go on are usually open to all of the students from ay school. There are a few unofficial frats that throw parties as well but no one views them differently because they are "greek" life. It is all pretty cohesive at Scripps and the Claremont Colleges

Overall Experience at Scripps College

A

Scripps and the 5 C's Are Amazing

Scripps is amazing and how all the Claremont Colleges make a cohesive environment is nice. The social life and party scene is great and safe. It's also unique and really awesome that we can take classes at any of the colleges, live at the other schools if we do a 5C exchange and, and eat and hang out anywhere at the other schools. You get the atmoshpere of a big school with the luxuries and academics of a small school. The campuses are beautiful and Scripps campus is by far the best campus with great dorms and awesome facilities. I would choose it all over because the financial aid is good, so are academics, and the space and atmoshpere is amazing. It's not a super easy academically but it is a good challenge that will help you grow.
