Minor Theft
MHC doesn't seem to have have kind of violent crime, and theft is pretty rare. My door was always unlocked and I never had anything stolen, but don't leave your laptop unattended during moving season!

No Need
The campus is so small that you don't need a car to get to class, and buses run every half hour to surrounding towns. Parking lots are mostly around the outside, so if you're moving in and caring furniture it can be difficult.

Go to Noho
The dining options in South Hadley aren't great. The Thirsty Mind wine and coffee bar is fantastic, but the traditional restaurants are too expensive for most college students. But a quick bus ride to Northampton or Amherst opens up hundreds of possibilities. Try Local Burger and The Haymarket in Northampton, and Osaka Sushi and Moti in Amherst.

No Men but...
We have just about every possibility in women. There's a large international population which actively participates in sharing cultural events. There are women who's families are wealthy enough to pay full tuition (50,000 a year) and women who pay nothing. Our religious house is active and interfaith, and the queer community is outspoken but not overly aggressive.
