Some people say there's no pressure here to smoke or drink, but I have been pressured. It's hard to meet new people if you don't drink. I smell pot a lot just walking around. If you're cool with drugs, then Earlham is fine for you, but if you're not, reconsider Earlham.

Not So Good. There's not really a nightlife here. There's a few sketchy bars, but that's it.

Ha! That's Funny. Earlham is not known for its athletics. The athletes are good people, but when it comes to actually playing sports, they're not so good.

Indiana is really hot in the summer and freezing in the winter. If you're okay with about three weeks of good weather, Indiana is great for you.

No Greek System – There's no Greek system at Earlham, which is both a positive and a negative.

Pretty Good – There's a lot of cool off-campus housing deals. You can get a group of friends together to get a Friendship House, and it doesn't cost anything extra. You can also choose to live in a theme house, and its rent is included in your room and board fees, so it too doesn't cost anything extra. Friendship Houses are great and a lot of fun. Take advantage of them. All houses are pretty close to campus.
