I've never felt unsafe on campus or in the neighboring towns of Red Hook, Kingston, and Tivoli. There is some occasional theft of personal items on campus like laundry and laptops, but most of the time it does not pose a significant issue

Guys & Girls
As a straight guy, I can only give my opinion on the girls. I'd say there are some really attractive girls that'll make you do a double take. But even with that being said, I get a sense that some of them are putting on a charade to fit in to these elitist cliques. Due to that, I can't always get a good read on them because their personality never seems to shine through. I know Bard prides itself on its individuality, but I have yet to find a girl that truly stands out from the crowd--in a good way.

Financial Aid
The main reason I ended up enrolling here was because Bard gave me the largest fiancial aid package of the other schools I applied to. Without the aid, I wouldn't have been able to afford it.
