As the years went on I found the food quality to go down a little with budget cuts and there was less variety. That said, I really enjoyed the food at Midd (especially in Proctor) and always found alternative options

Middlebury has a very laid back administration when it comes to visitors and other things. It's pretty hard to get in trouble for underage drinking and you have a lot of chances before you face serious consequences

A Newfound Appreciation
Weather was the only "negative" I found about Middlebury. I am not a cold weather person but decided that was a silly reason not to go there. Some of the winters were absolutely brutal in terms of snow and sub-zero temperatures. HOWEVER, nothing beats a fall day in Vermont or the days in spring when it's sunny. Your appreciation for the beautiful days is unparalleled and you will find yourself taking advantage of the weather to go outside with your smiling classmates.
