Stay on Campus..
There really is no need to venture off campus unless its for a party or something. Seriously. Everything you will ever need is in walking distance, and most students are aware of that. The attraction is UConn. The activities are at Uconn. The cultural events are at UConn... you catch my drift.

Parking Is a Nightmare for Procrastinators
There is no need for a car on campus, but for commuters, as long as you don't wait last minute then you should be ok.

Uconn Dining
There are many dining halls on campus, and they each offer something a little different. The food is in general very good. Unlimited swipes into the dining hall for all students make eating at the dining hall affordable and convenient.

Internships
There are a lot of internship opportunities. You can ask a professor to work in their lab as either a paid worker or a volunteer (simply there for gaining experience). The professors here are brilliant and very important in their fields.

Strictness
The school is strict when it comes to academic integrity. On the other hand, the Uconn is pretty lax about what goes on in the residence halls and what's allowed in the rooms.

Transpo Services
Excellent services including several free bus lines that go around campus, bus stops everywhere, and shuttles to nearby areas. Great services. Free and confidential service that picks you up after you've had too many drinks, too.
