Weather at University of South Florida

B-

Weather

The rain and thunderstorms are what keep me from venturing far out to other parts of campus including the bookstore or library. Most of the buildings are so far apart that you will soaked walking from one building to the next.

Scholarships at University of South Florida

D-

Scholarships

The scholarships that the school offers are poor, at best. If you decide to go to school for summer, you will find that the school's website for scholarships have scholarships that have expired and were only valid for spring semester. There aren't many scholarships offered and the ones that are only pertain to certain people in specific majors. There need to be more scholarships open to a wider array of students.

Off-Campus Dining at University of South Florida

A+

Food

There are a ton of dining options both on and off campus. You can either eat out of the vending machine or eat lunch in the Marshall Center at one of many dining options including Chic-fil-A, Einstein's, sushi, or even Starbucks. When going off campus, there are many restaurants to choose from like Applebee's, Perkins, sandwich shops, Mexican food, fast food. The options are endless and most of the places offer a student discount.

Overall Experience at University of South Florida

B+

Experience

I love the school I attend and love the program that I am receiving my degree in. There have been difficulties with financial aid but I believe the difficulties could happen at any school.

Inside Scoop at University of South Florida

A+

Sustainability

USF has the first sustainability master's degree programs in the nation. One of the professors in the environmental science program, Dr. Brinkmann, was even able to put worm composts into some of the dorms on campus to recycle and waste less food. Our school also has botanical gardens with a variety of ecosystems to visit and/or study.
