Off-Campus Dining at Hampshire College

A+

Amherst & Northampton Are Where It's at

Accessible via bus or your buddy's car are the towns of Amherst (10 minutes) or Northampton (15 minutes). Both are chock full of independently owned (read: not chain!) restaurants in every category you can imagine. I could eat at a new place everyday for a month and never get bored. Lots of local ingredients, healthy faire, good hearty italian, authentic asian specialities, vegan, anything you like! Big city scene, small city appeal.

Guys & Girls at Hampshire College

A-

Tree Huggers, Hipsters and Freaks

If you are looking for strange folk like you, you've come the right place. Everyone at Hampshire was the odd one in their high school. When they arrive at Hampshire they either venture into the land of radical or mellow out a bit. All in all, it's an interesting scene. You will never be bored!

Health & Safety at Hampshire College

A-

Very Safe

I never felt unsafe walking around campus, even in the woods, at night, alone.

Campus Housing at Hampshire College

A

Guaranteed Single

Who else can say that? Yeah, they have cinderblock walls, but you don't have to share them with anyone if you don't want to. That is pretty sweet!

Transportation at Hampshire College

B+

PVTA

Bus goes between the 5 colleges. Last time I checked it was free for students. Comes and goes regularly and stops at convenient locations. Not as easy as having a car, but a good backup if you can't afford one (parking on campus is free!).
