Small Campuses Foster Great Sense of Community
Carleton College is a small liberal arts college in a small, rural town in Southern Minnesota. It definitely does not have the cultural diversity and active nightlife of New York City, which is where I am from. That being said, it is still a charming place to be. Because it is isolated there are not many distractions, its small size gives you lots of close contact with some very nice people and helps build a strong sense of community. All of the dorms' architecture helps foster that sense of community.
