Cougareat?
While the campus "cougareat" (or dining area) does provide a fair amount of variety, I am not particularly fond of it. Many students like to take a lunch brake at the cougareat which leads to crowded lines and tables for a few overpriced meal options. I prefer to go to the creamery and pick out some fresh fruit.

Landscape Managment
Landscape programs vary. I love the one offered by BYU. In this program students are taught design, construction, and maintenance relating to both landscapes indoors and outdoors. We are able to work closely with the grounds department and the instructors are always friendly and willing to help in any way they can. The only thing I could wish differently is that there was a greater emphasis on design.

Wonderful People
The students at BYU are usually very friendly and fun to be around. It is, of course, possible that you will find people you don't perfectly get along with, but as long as you aren't actively being inconsiderate they will usually be friendly and willing to get to know you. I've met some of my very best friends here. Some areas are, however, much more social than others which at times makes it difficult to get away and start studying.

Clean Environment
BYU is a great learning environment. The students have all agreed (through means of an honor code) to behave certain ways. This includes but is not limited to academic and life honesty, abstinence from sex, drugs, and alcohol. If you really want to focus on your schooling and not worry about these things, BYU is very likely the best place for you.

How Far to Go?
There are plenty of options. However, many of the nicer dining locations off-campus are not within walking distance of the majority of the student body (who live fairly close to campus). If you have a car they can easily be reached, but otherwise it is a bit time consuming.

Safe and Secure
BYU is one of the best schools to attend if you want to avoid drugs and alcohol. I've never encountered anyone attending BYU who has done either since they began studying at BYU.
