Too Expensive..
Living on campus is simply too expensive, and requiring students to pay 6 months of rent in advance is a little infeasible. The housing department also kicks everyone out a day after the last day of final, which makes it impossible for some people to take some time and pack.
There aren't that many dorms so only freshmen and sophomores are guaranteed a dorm room, while others are almost forced to live off campus.

Culturally Diverse, Academically Not So Much
I think Hopkins is putting a lot of effort in trying to get rid of its image as a "premed" school. Yes, there are some humanity students here on campus, but premeds definitely dominates the the school. The number of students studying sciences and engineering is far higher than that of students studying humanities.

Some Good Street Parking Options
If you are visiting the campus, there are a lot of street parking options just outside the campus, and there are also good parking garages available. However, if you live on campus and are looking for a parking spot for your car, it's not so easy to find a nearby spot with a decent monthly price.
