UNLV--Hardly a University
The academics are underwhelming. While there is a fairly standard workload, the classes themselves are not particularly challenging largely due to the students' rejection of learning and adamant refusal to engage in class discussions. Many students harbor antiquated beliefs; I often find it difficult to find students who are progressive. On multiple occasions have I heard racist, sexist, and homophobic statements made by students.

Adequate Dining Options at UNLV
UNLV could use more diversity in its choice of dining. How many generic fast food establishments does one need? I would prefer if UNLV would avoid chains.
The Dining Commons offer more selection. The food servers are very kind. The vegetarian options are helpful.

Far from Perfect...
My decision to attend UNLV was entirely due to financial concerns. I knew the school was ill-suited to my academic needs and interests from the beginning, but I did not know the student body would be so close-minded. Needless to say, my college experience has been far from ideal.
I would not recommend this school to anyone who cares about academics or enjoys learning. The school is a good fit for those who enjoy active social lives and easier classes.
