Be Smart
Boston is very safe city for the most part so long as you use common sense. Do not go looking for trouble, and do not go wandering into suspect neighborhoods at night alone. The Emerson Police are mostly there for show, the responsibility is on you to keep yourself out of trouble, which is not hard.

Never Needed to Be Somewhere That the T Couldn't Take Me
The T is a great system for Boston. It is clean and gets people where they need to go all over the city with a state-of-the art tap system to keep trafic moving fast through the terminals. People complain about the hours (it is not open 24/7) but the city would not be able to keep a efficient system without downtime for repairs and cleaning. The T is the way to go

Labs Are Good, but Library Can Be Limited
Because we are in the epicenter of Boston, space can be tight. The library is large and interlinked with most school and public libraries in Boston, but it is still limited in terms of computers if you need to print something out on the go. I recommend buying your own printer for your dorm to make life easier

Boston Has Every Kind of Food Culture You Could Want
I have never been to a city other than Boston to offer a more diverse taste in food. Prices range as everywhere but the North End has some of the best Italian food I've ever had. Other areas offer Caribbean, Indian, Japanese, Mexican, everything you could ever want.

Not Terrible, but Alcohol Violations Suck
It is easy to acquire alcohol and drink a lot very often, but you need to exercise common sense. You cannot run around the halls belligerent or blast music at 4 in the morning because alcohol violations can really suck. As long as you are not an idiot it is not a problem getting messed up as often as you want.

I Love It
Living right on the Boston Commons is like having your own backyard to do whatever you want on while surrounded by a friendly city. People are nice in Boston and there is an open community to all students.
