Campus Dining at University of Puget Sound

A+

Food on Campus

There is a great sandwhich bar and vegetarian and vegan options, along with all the typical college food. The cafeteria brings in a lot of local and organic food, as well.

Transportation at University of Puget Sound

C

Transportation

In Tacoma and on campus, the most you need for transportation are your feet, a skateboard, or a bike. You are nearby Seattle so it is nice to have a car to visit (45 minute drive) rather than taking a bus (2 hour commute). The bus system in Tacoma isn't great. Most students elist friends for rides to the mall or to 6th street.

Health & Safety at University of Puget Sound

B

Security, Health, and Safety

The campus is fairly safe and it is easy to contact security in case of emergencies. Tacoma itself is also pretty safe, although there are a few neighborhoods you should avoid (Hilltop).

Campus Housing at University of Puget Sound

A-

Campus Housing

All dorms are very conveniently located. Todd Phibbs offers the smallest dorms. Schiff is known as the "outdoorsy" dorm. You have to fill out an application to live there, but its worth it if you're an athletic and outdoorsy person that wants to meet likeminded people. The theme houses also make Puget Sound awesome. With a group of friends, you can fill out an application to move into one. The university gives you money to put on wholesome parties/activities pertaining to your theme.
