Intended Political Science Major

I am a Political Science intended major at UC Berkeley. So far in completing the political science prerequisites for the major, I have become increasingly more intrigued and excited to take more classes. My professors are incredibly intelligent, you can just hear it in their voices during lectures the excitement that unfolds when teaching the politics that surrounds many countries around the world. I think when you have professors that are extremely involved in the study of their field and are able to reiterate their devotion during lecture, it really makes the total college experience intense and motivating.

Parking

Although I don't have a car here at berkeley, i know that parking tickets can be very common. Almost everyday I see those "parking-cops" so to speak, driving around in their small box like golf carts looking vehicles checking cars, meters, and giving tickets. I'd say make sure you look on the parking sign to check when parking is free, otherwise make it a habit to have plenty of quarters on you!

What Financial Aid?

I received no financial aid whatsoever no grant or any kind. However i did receive the Cal Veterans fee reduction aid which help a ton with tuition but not with books, food, or housing. My FAFSA assumed that my parents would be capable of paying for my college, but that is absolutely not the case. Now i'm stuck with pulling out loans. I strongly agree with making an appointment with your financial aid counselors even if you don't get financial aid so you can understand how to get loans and the details surrounding it..
