The Corner

The corner is very accessible, not too expensive, and has a lot of late night options like little johns or the dumpling store. theres a huge variety from pizza or subs to mexican. But even near hereford and gooch/dillard there is thai 99 which is delicious and i prefer it more than lemongrass (which is on the corner)

Homogenous Vs Diverse

its a bit overwhelming to see so many people who dress and act the same. it doesn't mean they're not nice or even that they're not being genuine but it gets somewhat redundant. some of the guys are the exact copies of frat guys you expect to see and there are the more nerdy ones. but there are also the people who aren't either extreme.

It's Real

All those typical frat parties you see in movies actually do exist. and they are certainly at UVA. however, there are also bars like coups for people over 21 or those able to get in. So theres definitely a variety because theres also tons of apartment parties and a lot of clubs throw parties as well in case you get tired of the frat scene
