There are city buses, but it is somewhat of a hassle to carry all of your things on the bus if you are planning on buying a lot.

First off, hazing is a criminal offense in Georgia. Though different groups may still have "initiation rituals," it can not be classified as hazing. Secondly, it is very possible to have a social life without being part of a sorority. If it wasn't, the majority of the college students I know wouldn't have a life at all. :)

You can definitely have a social life if you're not in a sorority. There are tons of ways to get involved on campus and meet new people. Don't worry at all!

yes! you can have a social life even if you chose not to go Greek! and don't be worried! go through recruitment and see if its for you! it's a once in a lifetime experience! and with hazing, Georgia has a strict zero-tolerance policy! if you happen to find yourself being hazed, just walk away. however, i can assure you that if a sorority wants you to join their sisterhood, they will not haze a potential sister.

While I do not attend that school, I go there weekly for business meetings. I mostly see people that are white and African american. The culture in that area is very lively. They have a lot of activities for anyone that may enjoy college life. In my personal opinion UGA is a party school. I hope that this helped

It also all depends on where in the north you are from.

I have many friends that have transferred into that college and it is competitive, nothing is easy. However, as long as you have a decent application, I am sure you will do fine.

Not hard. As long as you have a 3+ gpa, the admission is likely. Get letters of rec for increased chances.

It's as hard as you make it. If you put in the time, you will see the benefits. My prior econ TA (econ grad student) told me that the intro econ courses average gpa is like a 2.5 lol

I got accepted to nursing this morning around 10, although I have friends who were rejected this morning

I was rejected this morning. I was only accepted into their CAP Program.
