Study Abroad
The summer after my freshman year I studied abroad for a month with the honors program in Florence Italy. I loved it!! The experience was absolutely amazing and could not have gone any better. The class was challenging but I learned a lot and really got to know my professors. I loved the discussion element to my class and I loved the different perspectives that each student (from different majors) brought to the class.

U-Rec
I love using JMU's recreational facilities (UREC). UREC has an indoor pool and an indoor track. What really makes UREC great is the fact that students can take free fitness classes! I have taken a wide variety and have found all of them to have been fun while at the same time still giving me a workout!

Off-Campus Housing
Housing is widely available and is fairly easy to get at JMU. I am constantly recieving offers from various apartment complexes.

Shopping
The shopping is alright. There is a very small mall nearby. However there is a Walmart within walking distance of campus.

Alcohol Visibility
If you want to party and drink you can, most people do. However, if you don't it is accepeted and there are plenty of other things to do.
