Opportunity for Diversity
There are lots of white students, but not a lot of Asians, Hispanics, and African-Americans. However, the problem mainly is with the students themselves, who tend to gravitate towards "their own kind". The opportunity for diversifying oneself is certainly present. The experience depends on the individual student being willing to venture outside of what they're used to.

It's Illinois!
Attending a university located in the Midwest, one should go into it expecting hot summers and frigid winters. We get a hefty amount of snow in Illinois during the winter and if that bothers you, U of I isn't the place to be.
