Classic and Refined
The facilities at Hopkins are all either very modern or in the process of being updated, but the overall aesthetic of the campus follows a beautiful classic theme based on the architecture of an old house that has been on the property since before it became a college campus. The study areas are numerous, and one of my favorite things to do on campus is to constantly hunt for and sample new study atmospheres. All of the necessities for success are easily accessed and other students are always willing to provide tips and advice to their lesser-experience peers when it comes to using the facilities to their fullest.

Quirky Neighborhoods With Style
Hopkins is located in the center of 5 very distinct neighborhoods, each with its own flair for food and arts. Charles Village is where most students live and is the most easily accessed. It has the popular college restaurants that you expect to find: Chipotle, Subway, Starbucks, etc., but also a few local treasures like Niwana's Korean and Japanese fusion, Donna's classy date-night feeling, and Charles VIllage Pub, a popular hangout for of-age students celebrating the end of a busy week. On the other side of campus is Hampden, a "hipster"-esque town with the funky Papermoon Diner, Holy Frijoles with its amazing fish tacos and margarita specials, and rumors of a restaurant that occasionally serves everything from Lion to Python.

Research Is King
Hopkins was the first research university in America, and that's something we're very proud of. There are research opportunities available in everything from Neuroscience to Linguistics; from Economics to Acting. The chance to work closely with such a magnificent (#1 in the world this year, again) hospital and teaching staff is something you can't find anywhere else.
