Charming
Northfield, the city in which St Olaf College resides, is your quintessential midwestern small college town. It's right on the river with a historic downtown. There's a few shops, restaurants, coffee shops and banks to explore, but you'll tire them after your first year on campus. Luckily St Olaf is within an hour to the Twin Cities. There's a weekend bus that also stops at the airport and Mall of America.

One Big Family
Although academics at St Olaf are rigorous, the professors are incredibly nice, helpful, and intelligent. It felt like family. The professors were very approachable and caring.

Great Food!
The food at St Olaf is great. There are several different counters so you can have tacos one night, stirfry the other, and chicken and rice the third night. Their salad bar, breakfast fruit bar, and dessert bar are all fantastic.
Some students can get Cage dollars which is their cafe. The cage has great sandwiches, treats, and beverages.
