Just Bring Your Own Computer, Beware of Printers
Most of the computers in the labs least used are not up to date, therefore are really slow or typically don't work well. The labs have their busy times, so it would be best to bring your own laptop/computer of some sort. Network is sometimes reliable, but it can be a pain to get onto the network sometimes, and sometimes to STAY on the network. They've started charging for printing (5 cents a page), which can feel constricting because you feel worried about overdrawing your printing account, especially if you are an English major/minor who prints a lot of papers. But, bringing your own printer may not be much help as you'd have to pay for the ink, which could sometimes be just as much.

Some Diversity, but Not Ethnically
The diversity on campus is sadly lacking. There is no real ethnic/racial diversity whatsoever. As for economic background, no one really discusses such cases, but financial aid is well provided when needed. Political beliefs, religion, and sexual orientation is more easily discussed, but not boasted about. There is a fair amount of diversity in all cases, but one has to be a bit careful about how it is approached, as there are some prejudices. But, there are comfortable groups that could be joined for each area.

They Seem to Do Well
Unfortunately parties are a big deal at Luther. Not being into the whole 'party scene' myself, this rather irritates me. People often get drunk on the weekend and in certain dorms, vandalism does occur. I've heard that the bar/club scene isn't spectacular, but people seem to do well anyway. As for the underage nightlife, I don't know what the bars do to approach this, but again, they seem to do rather well when obtaining their alcohol, typically ending their weekends hung over.
