Total Balance
At Indiana University there is a balance between students who join sororities/fraternities and those who don't. I think this is great because even though a student is involved in Greek lifestyles they still have many friends outside that lifestyle. The interaction between Greek students and non-Greek students is also great because they can both experience each other's lifestyle if they hang out or invite each other to their own activities. In all the balance at IU is advantageous in many aspects.

Best of Both Worlds
At Indiana University we get a mix of weather. When it is really nice out everyone hangs out outside, especially because campus is beautiful and has lots of places to be at. When it is cold and snows, classes are rarely canceled, but this is understandable to most students.

Shadowing
For pre-med students it is very important to get a lot of volunteer work, shadowing, and experience time for your medical school submission. When it comes to internships, shadowing a doctor at a hospital for a few weeks may count. You do not get paid, but the experience will be very useful in the future.

Labs Are Available Most of the Time
there are many labs at IU and most of the time you do not have trouble getting a computer. during finals week it may be more crowded and a bit tougher to find a spot, but most students have their own computers anyways.

Drinking and Drugs Are Pretty Controlled
from my experience there is more alcohol use than drug use, but you are also responsible for yourself. If you get into the wrong crowd anywhere, you will end up with consequences. IU is like any other schools, there are both types of people, those who do and those who don't.

Pre-Med
I love the program at IU. the advisors are very helpful in leading you to success and figuring out which classes and extracurricular activities to do. There are so many majors and opportunities to make your own major at IU that anyone can do whatever they like.
