The Residential Lifestyle
Most of the dorms at Tech are four floors, either all male or all female, and accommodate a variety of students. If they have not been recently renovated, they are soon to be renovated. Although Housing is a bit expensive at Tech - $2,600 this past semester for me - it has definitely been the simpler path for me to take.
There are plenty of people to meet, always something to do on campus, and there is just a more communal lifestyle to it. A lot of the friends you make and people you meet in the dorms will follow you for quite some time.
A lot of people on campus tend to favor West Campus, but I have lived on East Campus this past semester. The general consensus is that while West Campus Housing is a bit nicer, East Campus Housing is more convenient. I, personally, am all for East. Overall, Housing is very accommodating if a bit expensive.

Oh, the Diversity
Tech is an extremely diverse school representing over 50 countries worldwide. People here are incredibly open-minded and tolerant of most varying perspectives on religion, socioeconomic backgrounds, and personal opinions. There is a shocking diversity to sexual orientation at Tech, which is well-accepted. I have yet to encounter anyone on campus who discriminates or attacks another student or person on the basis of opinion or other diverse natures.

The Variety of Internships
I have yet to intern at Tech, but I plan on doing so either my second or third year. From what I have heard from upperclassmen, it is an experience that they love and always enjoy having done. The first time requires that a person intern for credit (credit based on how many hours interned) before paying options are allowed. Intern pay can be anywhere from $7 to $15 an hour, and is generally expected to require 20 hours of work a week. There is quite a bit of time commitment from internships at Tech, but there are a number of opportunities for a student to intern at, and I have yet to hear a student say that they regretted their internship, whether it was for credit or pay.

Incredible Academics and Assistance
Tech has an amazingly expansive course list that covers numerous topics and allows for a great realm individuation among students. There are classes for many sciences and the professors are always willing to assist the students. The workloads for a few are definitely heavy, but it is never anything unmanageable. Besides, there are countless opportunities to find assistance for almost every class.
