Challenging but Do-Able
I've been at U of M for one and a half semester and therefore have only taken introductory courses. They are challenging, but definetly doable. Most professors are engaging and prepare their lectures well. Online resources are a god-send.

There are a really good variety of restaurants in Ann Arbor, price range and cuisine wise

Rescollege
Do Residential College. It's a lot of work, but if you're already interested in language the intensive language requirement just gets it out of the way. There are incredible options for classes, majors and the atmosphere is wonderful. There is no "Michigan Attitude" in the RC
