Pretty Bad but Not Always Necessary
If you're willing to pay the $10 for the parking garage under the Southwest Quad, it's really not so bad. Just don't go searching for parking anywhere else. It takes a maximum of 15minutes to get from one extreme on campus to the other so take this option. If you try to park on the streets outside the front gates, good luck! If you can avoid using your car, it's a better idea to use public transportation to get to the school.

Two Words: GUTS Bus
The GUTS buses are useful because they get you to the otherwise inaccessible metro stops. Otherwise, it's not too long a distance to walk to M St or Wisconsin Ave to catch other bus transportation, and taxis pass around the campus borders often.

More Variety Than They Say
House parties, bars and clubs, movie theaters, restaurants, concerts, night walks at the monuments. People complain about the cops cracking down on underage drinking, but the options are limitless and there is always something going on even if it doesn't seem like it at first.

Anything you can think of, we've got it. There are the big, pricey places and the small, cheap shacks with the best quality food.

Dining Hall Is Okay, Other Options Better.
Leo's (only dining hall) is alright, food kind of gets repetitive after a while, but new things present themselves if you have your eyes open, and it prompts very creative eaters. I prefer Epicurean because I'm a sushi addict, they have great sandwiches, and the people who work there are super nice. If you get tired of these two places, Cosi and Starbucks and the student coffee shops are really snug places to kick back and eat and even study.

Always Better on a Sunny Day.
Spring time is better because it starts off with snow, turns into cherry blossom petals, and ends with gorgeous summer weather.
