Friendly Enough
Boca is not really a college town but if you have a car you can find places to go and have fun. Hookah bars are an option on any given night as well as typical activities like the movies or going to the beach. West Palm is a fun place to go and there are festivals and conventions held there often. Shopping and dining options are high end and expensive for the most part but you can go to Denny's and get a 20% off discount for being an FAU student.

Hot and Humid
Typical South Florida weather, it's always hot and humid and rains a lot during the Spring and Fall but only for short amounts of time. People are outside doing things all the time, tanning on the balconies of dorms, swimming in the pool, or going to the beach.
