Trimesters Are Fantastic
Students only need to take 3 classes per term since Union is trimester school. Trimesters definitely benefit science majors in regard to labs. Having one or two lab science classes per term (some students do take 3) is a godsend. In the end, we still get in the same number of classes/credits as semester schools. The workload is completely manageable, and it gives students plenty of time to get involved in various clubs and organizations.
The professors are absolutely amazing. They are required to hold office hours so you're always welcome to meet with them then, but they're always willing to work around your schedule if you can't make office hours. They're extremely helpful and highly intelligent. You're definitely getting the best education possible with Union's professors.

A Fit for Everyone
Freshmen aren't allowed to choose their roommates coming in (I think this is fairly common). There are four dorm options for freshmen so everyone's bound to be pleased. And they're all located in the same area so it's easy to visit friends in other dorms. For upperclassmen, Minervas are a great housing option with huge singles and doubles. You even get a kitchen downstairs! There are also on-campus apartments which are definitely my favorite option.

Don't Worry About It Your First Year.
Freshmen are not allowed to rush/pledge. You get to get more involved on campus this way and I love that this rule is in effect. Other than that, the only times I, personally, have noticed greek life are on the weekends for frat parties and when friends mention they're living in a frat or sorority. I didn't rush or pledge, and I still have lots of friends, Greek and non-Greek.
