A Huge Deal on Campus
Athletics are extremely important on campus, both for competing athletes, intramural and casual players alike. One flaw is that in such a highly athletic school, academics often take a backseat, both in terms of student priorities and the school's financial allocations.

Excellent, but Leave Something to Be Desired
Maybe it's because I've been taking introductory courses, but sometimes staff seems impersonal and/or uninterested in their teaching positions. Often, though, the exact opposite is true, and professors take great interest in the quality of the education.

Seemingly the Best Public University in the State
The size is perfect (not too big, not too small), and there are tons of activities, extracurriculars and clubs.

Academics Are Strong
Professors take academics very seriously and research is seen as very important (sometimes more so than actual teaching)

Greek Life Big, but Smaller Than Many Comparable Schools
While Greek life certainly plays a large role on campus, it's smaller than similar schools like, say, Oregon State University. Ultimately, this is a good thing; people don't feel left out for being apart from sororities and fraternities.

Smoking Ban Problematic
The school has recently proposed and passed an anti-smoking ban on campus, effective either next year or the year after. This seems very strict, as both faculty and students smoke frequently.
