Campus Dining at Cornell University

A-

Good Food but Poor Plans

The food is good and it offers variety on campus - which is good because there aren't many other places you can get to without a car. However, living in dorms beyond the freshman year requires you to have certain meal plans that are way too much and a waste of money, especially since they don't fit with a normal student routine of being on central campus during school hours. Food anywhere can get old and it does here too.

Nightlife at Cornell University

B-

Greek Rules

Nearly all the parties take place at frats - although now they are starting to move to collegetown houses because new restrictions have destroyed frat parties. Greek has turned in on itself - mixing and partying only with its members and not really providing opportunities to meet new people. There are a few bars that are always options but some are cruddy. Walking is always a requirement for anything unless you have a bus pass

Overall Experience at Cornell University

C+

Could Do Better

Its an isolating place and very restrictive. Its hard to study what you want because you can't major across schools, some subjects dont have minors, and each school has its own unique requirements to fulfill. To have a social life - being a part of greek is a must. West campus housing sucks - living in collegetown is much better. I honestly wish I had went somewhere else - I would've been much happier living in a place where everyone actually cares about each other, I actually know my professors, and the classes aren't as large/ poorly organized (at times).
