Very Safe
I have never had a problem even though I have often been walking around on McGill's campus very late at night (or very early in the morning). In addition, there is a walksafe service for those who don't feel comfortable walking alone but I don't know anyone who uses it: most students probably feel as safe as I do.

Highs and Lows
McGill is a very competitive environment which can feel overwhelming sometimes. However, from an academic point of view it's a very good school. I had the opportunity to study from professors who are summities in their chosen subjects. In addition I have met some interesting people and Montreal offers a wide variety of activities to partake in with said interesting people, even though the winters here are very cold.
