Dance at VCU
The dance program at VCU is amazing. The opportunity to excell is readily available. We have master classes every week with well known taechers in the dance world. Their feed back is quite helpful. The faculity at VCU are not just teachers but performers themselves. Offering students the chance to dance during spring break. To take advantage of these opprtunities one must be abel to balance their academics with rehearsal schedules. My academis work load can become over welming if I do not take advantage of the support (suchas the writting center, tuitoring sessions...) that is offered.

Dance Program Specifics
I am a dancer at VCU and I enjoy it alot. I was accepted to 3 other colleges and offered alot of scholarship money but I chose VCU because it was located in Richmond and I see Richmond as a progressive art community. I especially enjoy ath weekly master classes. I have been given good feed back and encouragement. I sometimes struggle with being too criticle of myself, then I have a master class and the teacher will validate my ability and this gives me to needed push to keep improving.We have wonderful master classes that are varing in the style of dance each teacher bring giving me a diverse exposure in dance styles to chose from.
